Does Samsung S9 Plus perform better with Android Pie?

do not remember what I was doing this morning that triggered the desire to see what my Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus will score in terms of benchmark performance now that it has Android 9 Pie installed. But something did.
I already had scores for Android Oreo from last year when I reviewed it.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus Android  Oreo Performance

  • Geekbench 4 Single-Core Score: 3656
  • Geekbench Multi-Core Score: 9007
The above were the scores I got when the phone was on Android 8 Oreo.
To  see if any differences exist now that it has Android Pie, I downloaded Geekbench again and ran the CPU benchmark test.
Let’s see what came out .

  • Geekbench 4 Single-Core Score: 3723
  • Geekbench Multi-Core Score: 9137
So, we have a marginal increase in the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus Android Pie performance on Geekbench performance. In reality, I doubt you would feel the difference in use. I certainly don’t in my everyday use of the S9 plus. The phone feels just as snappy as it did before the update.
For reference purposes, my unit is the EXYNOS 8910 variant clocked at 2.7 GHz and with 6 GB RAM.
By the way, I remember now why it occurred to me to do this. I was looking at the performance benchmark scores for Soda S2, a phone that I am currently reviewing. The review will soon be ready and published. I have most of it ready. I just need to go shoot some outdoor photographs to add to the article.

In the meantime, the Soda S2 specifications are available for you to look at.
